Meet our Team

Barry Vilkin, D.M.D., M.Sc.D.

Dr. Barry Vilkin hails from the San Fernando Valley, where he spent his formative years. He graduated from Taft High School before embarking on his educational journey at Claremont McKenna College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then pursued advanced degrees at Boston University, culminating in a Doctor of Dental Medicine, Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study, and a Master’s Degree in Science with a specialization in
Endodontics.

Returning to his roots in Southern California, Dr. Vilkin has been solving patients’ endodontic problems in his clinical practice. He not only provides state-of-the-art patient care, but also imparts his knowledge as an educator. Dr. Vilkin was part of the faculty at UCLA Dental School where he was a clinical instructor in endodontics. In addition, he designed comprehensive continuing education programs in the field of endodontics, attracting participants from across the United States. His passion for knowledge and information sharing led to the creation and publication of The Endodontic Report, a prominent endodontic resource keeping dentists nationwide informed about the latest developments in the field of endodontics.

Dr. Vilkin has extended his expertise in endodontics by serving as an expert witness in legal disputes and cases brought before the Dental Board of California, providing valuable insights and testimony.

Outside his professional life, Dr. Vilkin’s personal life is equally fulfilling. He married his high school sweetheart from Taft High School in Woodland Hills, and together they have raised a family of three children and welcomed three grandchildren. This busy family life keeps his hands and fingers moving when he’s not helping patients at his office. In his rare moments of free time, Dr. Vilkin indulges in a variety of hobbies. He makes jewelry, watches his Bonsai trees grow, enjoys collecting Mexican folk art, and has a deep passion for cinema, making the most of every opportunity to savor a good movie, old or new.
